Address Format

After listening to several different arguments, we've made subtle changes to the address style used by the directories. We've implemented a system using the postal town scheme of the Post Office; where if the town/village of an entry isn't one of the ~1500 postal towns in the UK, then the entry's town is listed, followed by a new line of "by Postal Town". We understand that this won't suit everyone, as "via" and "near" are also heavily used - but we'll stick with it for now.

An example from the new Perth & Perthshire Directory is Mrs Constance Ward's luxurious Kinnaird Hotel set in the hamlet of Kinnaird (near Dunkeld) in Perthshire.

Perth & Perthshire

Over the last few weeks we've been working on the Perth Directory. It's still very content lite, but thought it better to release it now, so we can continue to add to it, while also getting some organic suggestions coming in. Why Perth? Because it fills the gap between Dundee and Stirling - and yes, I'm still intimidated by the thought of tackling Glasgow.
